Originally conceived by 83 year old inventor John Hill, OnSide has been developed by Chute Design Associates for road users traveling between the UK and continental Europe to remind them to drive on the correct side of the road. For more information and mail order sales click here.
Following its development by Chute Design Associates the Flexi-tip sealant Smoother was launched by Vitrex. A special version created exclusively for leading DIY retailer Wickes is being launched in the spring of 2004.
Chute Design Associates were asked to participate in this scheme by the Design Council; on 26 June Nigel Chute MCSD gave a talk at the Priory C of E Voluntary Aided School in Dorking, Surrey, showing examples of CDA's work and giving an overview of design as a career.
In conjunction with the Design & Technology teaching staff he went on to assist the class of 15-16 year olds with their own projects, which included executive desk clocks and a futuristic office space.
